Summer Day Camps

Dates: July through August

Ages: 4-14

Our summer day camps offer a variety of exciting activities for children aged 4-14. Each camp focuses on a specific theme each day, while also including fun activities such as art, games, and physical activities both indoors and outdoors. All camps, unless otherwise specified, run from 9 am - 4 pm.

Day Camp Waiver:

A Day Camp Emergency Information and Waiver of Liability Form must be completed prior to attending the first day of camp. Please fill out one form per child for 2025 summer day camps. The form can be found at: Day Camp Waiver Form

Day Camp Options:

Please read carefully as our age categories have changed.

• Daily and Weekly Option Camps: Register for a full week or select daily option camps to join in on the fun!
• Mini Movers (4 – 5Y): Full-day weekly and half-day (AM) daily options available.
• Playmakers (6 – 7Y): Multiple full-day weekly and daily camp themes to choose from.
• All-Stars (8 – 12Y): Multiple full-day weekly and daily camp themes to choose from.
• Specialty Camps: Full and partial week options available. Camp hours vary.

Camp Programming

Please note that camp descriptions and themes represent programming possibilities. Camp leaders are encouraged to alter camps to best meet their group's needs and adapt to weather conditions. All campers swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Specialty camps focus on specialized activity for at least two hours each day. Playmaker and All-Star campers go on an off-site field trip each Friday using commercial busing.

Field Trip Fridays:

All registered Playmaker and All-Star campers will go on an off-site field trip each Friday using commercial busing. Locations include regional outdoor pools, adventure parks, and movie theatres. Please watch for location updates throughout the spring! Campers registered for the Friday-only option will team up with a weekly Playmaker or All-Star camp.

Before and After Camp Care:

Before camp care is available from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and after camp care from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Additional charges apply. Before and After Camp fees are non-refundable. Please pack an extra snack for your child and do not send toys or equipment from home unless otherwise advised to avoid lost, damaged, or stolen items.

Camp Locations:

Drop off and pick up for all camps, unless otherwise outlined in the camp details, is at the Okotoks Recreation Centre in the Curling Rink. To access the Basecamp, please use the main front doors of the Okotoks Recreation Centre.

What to Bring:

• Hats, sunscreen, bug spray
• Water bottle, snacks, and lunch (no nuts please)
• Bathing suit and towel for Tuesdays and Thursdays, and every day for water-based camps
• Dress for the weather, rain or sunshine, as campers will be outside!
• Wear appropriate footwear, preferably runners, so all campers can keep up!
• Please do not send toys from home unless otherwise advised.

Registration and Payment:

Registration opens for summer day camps on March 13 and closes between June 25 - August 20 on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. for the following week. Full payment for all camps is due at the time of registration or payment plans are available if a child is registered for 3 or more weeks. Payment plan inquiries can be sent to programs@okotoks.ca.
