Aquatic Schedules

Visiting the Aquatic Centre

  • View and Book activities/classes up to 7 days in advance.
  • Only booked activity/class participants are allowed in the Recreation Centre, there are no spectators permitted.
  • Face masks are mandatory, as per Bylaw 28-20, while entering the building and up until you are entering the pool basin including on the pool deck and in the change rooms.
  • Check in with Client Services 5 minutes prior to your booking start time to confirm your booking and for information on change room availablitity.
  • We continue to encourage all users to please come dressed for your activity and leave dressed as you came.
  • Dry areas will be available on the deck for clothing and bags; please leave valuables at home.

Aquafitness Classes

The Aquatic team is excited to offer three options for pre-booked Aquafitness Classes.

Class Options:

Moderate Aquafitness (shallow or deep end options). Please note the area you are booking into as you will be required to physically distance from others in the designated area.

Tethered Aquafitness. Physical distancing is made easy with a tethered class but book early as space is limited.

NEW Registered Tethered Aquafit - the aquatic team is now offering two different options for an 8 week Tethered Aquafit Registered Course Click Here to register.

Classes sizes vary from 8 people max to 24 people max, so book early to ensure your spot.

Lane Swim

Book your lane swim for 1 hr. All swimmers must be able to swim 25 metres unassisted. When booking please make sure to make note of the lane(s) you are booking into and ensure that you remain in that lane(s) at all times.

Public Swim

New Public Swim, please note that you are required to pre-book (even Tiny Tots 0-2 yrs) for public swim and there is a Swindells' Pool ONLY option or an option to book into both pools. Take note of where you are booking to avoid disappointment. Patrons will be required to maintain 2 metre physical distancing from non-cohort patrons.

The Aquatics Centre standards for child supervision apply:
  • Children must be a minimum of 8 years old to use the Aquatics Centre without a caregiver.
  • Caregivers must be at least 14 years of age to accompany children in the Aquatics Centre.
  • Caregivers should stay within arm's reach of children at all times.

  • Open Fitness Swim

    This swim provides times for patrons to perform a variety of exercise activities and is not limited to lane swimming. This space will not have lane ropes so patrons will have plenty of space to move as needed. This is also a time for our diverse patrons and aids to come and enjoy the pools. Aids coming into the pool will need to be booked in by calling Client Services. This swim has a capacity of 12 bookable spots. Patrons will need to physical distance from non-cohort patrons. Times will be available in Swindells and/or Riley Minue Pool.

    For participants that require an aide in the pool:

  • For participants with an All Facility Pass (1 month, 3 month, and annual passes), please book the participant twice to reserve the correct number of spots.
  • Participants with 10x passes or who pay per visit, will have to call Recreation Client Services at 403-938-8954 to pre-book.
  • Teen Night Swim

    Aquatics will be hosting a modified teen night! Swimmers between the ages of 12 and 17 are welcome to come swim for the hour. Both pools and the diving board will be available. A max of 25 swimmers can attend.
